    There's a time for everything, and it's wonderful when the right book is found by the right child at the right age. To vote on existing books from the list, the likes of dor will entertain 8-year-old readers for hours. Valerie Tripp? Dog Man solves crimes and has adventures, beside each book there is a link vote for this book clicking it will add that book to your votes.

    I want your third grade 8- year old boys and girls to have lots of good chapter books to read. The general reading levels for third grade are L to L according to the Lexile website. There is more wiggle room with what children can comprehend than a particular reading level. Kids still need to be read to and hear as much story and vocabulary as possible. This is a great way to spend time together and to read more difficult books. 👂
