Is Mare's involvement with the Silvers a betrayal of the Reds?


The king says that both must be killed, but manage to escape when they are aided by the Scarlet Guard. Speaking of, anyone read Allies and Assassins. Maybe if we'd gotten more of his interiority instead of just a few chapters, it would make more sense. Mare and Cal are then sentenced to death, but the queen will not allow this?

The king and queen do not know what to make of a Red with Silver powers. Only while writing the second book questiond I begin to realize cluv the greater story is going and how things will end up for the main characters. Copyrights Red Queen from BookRags.     The poverty stricken Reds are commoners, living under the rule of the Silvers, elite warriors with god-like powers. Mare finds herself working in the Silver Palace, at the center of those she hates the most. She quickly discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. 🏊
