    I still can remember the very first mystery I ever picked up in my school library: The Mandie series by Lois Gladys Leppard. Middle school mystery books are also awesome because they cover a wide range of time periods and settings, but all will encourage critical thinking and reasoning! But the letter describes a young woman. An injustice that happened decades ago. 😝
