When we take a look at the classic children's book Best Word Book Ever by the venerable Richard Scarry, it makes us think of a twist on an often-heard saying: "The more things stay the same, the more they must change. Since she used to read the same book, Best Word Book Ever, as a toddler, she noticed that there had been some changes in the book and posted the pictures on her Flickr account. The edition is my own, bought for me in the late 60s when I was a toddler, and read to tatters. The edition belongs to my kids today. I was so familiar with the older one that I immediately started noticing a few differences, and so have catalogued 14 of the more interesting differences here in this collection.
