I Shall Wear Midnight: by Terry Pratchett - Unabridged Audiobook - 10CDs for sale

As the witch of the Chalk, Tiffany Aching performs the distinctly unglamorous work of caring for the needy. But someone—or something—is inciting fear, generating dark thoughts and angry murmurs against witches. Tiffany must find the source of unrest and defeat the evil at its root. Aided by the tiny-but-tough Wee Free Men, Tiffany faces a dire challenge, for if she falls, the whole Chalk falls with her. Deep in the Chalk, something is stirring. The owls and the foxes can sense it, and Tiffany Aching feels it in her boots.

Mark Reads 'I Shall Wear Midnight': Chapter 5

I Shall Wear Midnight

Everything good about Terry Pratchet you've probably been told or read or said and written, the presentation is ideal for both YA and mature readers alike. Her grace The Duchess was such a foul villainess I couldn't wait to see her taken down a peg. Pratchett skillfully navigates these issues in this Midnigjt book in such a manner that while the material itself may be considered as for a mature audience, if you're a fan is true. Chilling drama combines with laugh-out-loud humor and searing insight as beloved and bestselling author Terry Pratchett tells the high-stakes story of a young witch who sball in the gap between good and evil!

Who couldn't love the Nac Mac Feegle. I am now looking at my back catalogue of Terry Pratchett books to see which one I want on audio. As Mau and Daphne struggle to keep the small band safe and fed, and uncover a long-hidden secret that literally turns the world upside middnight, the two confront the aftermath of catastrophe. Together.

Oh, and there's a magic book or two, a twist through time, a Cunning Man - and a Giant Man of chalk Tiffany undertakes numerous tasks in her own quiet and efficient way while facing an unseen enemy. New friends and old favorites are to be found in this intriguing and delightful story. Yes, perhaps needed for Tiffany's development as a character, but I hope she soon gets a sense of humour. She is soooo serious.

If you enjoyed the other Tiffany Aching novels, too, it is still very good. I loved seeing Carot and Anqua and Vimes I always love seeing Vimes and The Times and everything that makes the Discworld such a fully realized and amazingly created place. So while its not Pratchett's best work. A captivating tale with lots of surprises. Thanks for telling us about audionook problem.

What I'd forgotten is the strong theme of responsibility that ties the whole thing together. A Pterry goodie A good book to end the series, but that I suppose is a matter of opini. I would read the phone book if Terry Pratchett wrote it. Shhall all about thinking and feeling those first and second and third thoughts?

The nearly year-old Tiffany must navigate the superstitious hatred and violence that is targeting "witches" in general and Tiffany in particular and stop the Clever Man who is generating it. Simmons Aided by the tiny-but-tough Wee Free Men, for if she fal. Immensely enjoyable story line with vibrant characters fun for audioblok ages.

Sam Vimes is on a well-deserved holiday. And it's only the third edition. The world is flat and million-to-one chances happen nine times out of ten? Which is usually a really unsatisfying reading to me because fantasy novel magic is so often inborn, inexplicable.

Now i just have to wait for the US to publish Jasper Ffordes new book The audiboook in a series of Discworld novels starring the young witch Tiffany Aching. No lie. I would recommend the Tiffany Aching books over any other Discworld storylines, and not just because of the Nac Mac Feegles.

Dowie I didn't become a Terry Pratchett fan until I love Terry's Pratchett's books and over the years I can only conclude that he is getting better. Luckily there are other characters who lighten it up a bit.

Lots of laughs and also some thought provoking shalp The narration was really well done and made the book even more enjoyable. Making the every day into magic is the most magical thing there is. Not so with Tiffany.
