    Proto G ianlee74 Reply 3 years ago? At some stage you will sodering need to desolder a joint to remove or re-position a wire or component. This will help the component make a better connection with the copper pad and prevent it from falling out while soldering. This is why you must melt the solder actually on the joint, not on the iron tip.💇‍♂️
